Inchyra Grange – Robyn And Graham’s Wedding
“You’re the best thing I never knew I needed” – The Princess And The Frog
Once upon a Time
In a land far far away a young princess stared at her computer screen and wondered if she would ever find love, live in a castle and live happily ever after. In a different land, a young prince stared at his computer screen and wondered if he would ever get to be chased by dinosaurs with his buddies. Then something on his computer screen caught his eye. A motorbike riding princess…his eyes turned to love hearts and his heart jumped out of his chest as he furiously clicked buttons on his keyboard. Little be known to him she was doing the same and then the stars aligned, the inanimate objects in their houses started to sing and dance, and that most wonderful of wonderful things appeared on both their screens…IT’S A MATCH.
Just in case you hadn’t guessed Robyn and Graham are mad keen on Disney and it featured heavily in their beautiful wedding at Inchyra Grange.
Fools!
Their wedding fell on April Fools Day but no pranks stood in the way of this pair tying the knot (although Robyn and her sister Jordyn did manage to pull a trick on Jennifer the make-up artist!).
When I arrived it was all systems go in the girl’s room. Best friend Victoria was Robyn’s bridesmaid and Jordyn was her maid of honour. Hair and make-up were ahead of schedule and the mood was very calm. I was able to take some detail shots and getting ready shots easily and the only awkward moment was when I admitted I wasn’t a huge Disney fan but I was forgiven and we got back to it!

Jurassic Park
Meanwhile, the boys had arrived. When I met Robyn and Graham for their pre-wedding meet, I mentioned I could composite dinosaurs into his pictures so it looked like he and his groom squad were running away from them. Graham was very happy about this and reminded me when we met on the day. What followed must have looked very odd to anyone watching. Three grown men in kilts slo-mo running across the hotel car park. But who cares? The end result was fab!
Daddy’s Girl
I do love getting to capture the moment a girl’s dad sees her in her wedding dress and Robyn’s Dad was no exception.
Showtime
Robyn & Graham had opted for an intimate ceremony and a large evening do and the ceremony room was lovely and bright. As the piper piped Robyn and her dad in, Graham couldn’t wait to see his bride. With both bridesmaids giving charming readings and Robyn & Graham saying their own vows it was a practically perfect ceremony in every way (as a certain Ms. Poppins would say).
I’m not Frozen
Did you see what I did there (I’m quite proud of that one)! Although the rain had stayed off and it was bright it was still pretty chilly and a bit windy outside. But all the guests gamely stood outside for their pictures.
As did the Bridal Party and Robyn & Graham for their formals.
Whilst Graham was giddy about dinosaurs, Robyn loved castles and had picked her venue for its castle-like door.
Knowing I was going to give Graham a dinosaur image I had to come up with a castle image for Robyn and this one gives me Hogwarts vibes.

An Enchanted Evening
After the speeches and the meal evening guests were soon arriving. After cutting the rather spectacular cake, it was time for the first dance. And a dance with Dad.
I guess all good tales come to an end and it was time for me to go. But as I left the dance floor was filling up and soon after Robyn & Graham would be jetting off to Florida for their honeymoon at Disneyland and their happily ever after.
Congratulations again Mr & Mrs McDougall xXx
