Wedding Supplier

Last time I spoke to other nearby wedding suppliers it proved really popular so I thought I’d do it again! A few weeks ago I got to meet loads of great wedding suppliers at the Glasgow Wedding Exhibition.

The first of those suppliers is the gorgeous Christina Turner who owns Say I Do Weddings. A new wedding events company that specialises in wedding decor, silk floral designs, bespoke stationery, handcrafted favours and much much more.

The Interview…

📷 Christina, I know you’ve had a busy weekend setting up wedding venues for clients so I appreciate you taking the time for this interview. Let’s dive right in…What are the most popular wedding trends you are seeing at the moment?

🎀 Current trends I think are for floral/wedding decor. Foliage only requests are very popular, lots of greenery with cable light & floral wreaths along with lots of white fresh hydrangeas or rises with a bit of bling hanging are super popular! Hand-tied bouquets with lots of greenery and less structured are becoming very popular for 2018, lots of green ivy leaves and coloured roses are a must for brides, many like the natural woodland look too! Weddings outside are on the uprise which can be done on a low budget!

📷 Sounds beautiful! If a couple books Say I Do Weddings what can they expect?

🎀 A couple can expect absolute perfection at a reasonable price from Say I Do…after planning my own wedding and having my own vision of exactly how I wanted our day to look…the disappointment that I felt after enquiring to so many decor companies and the price was so out of our budget it was unreal! Here at Say I Do I like to provide beautiful decor but at a reasonable cost! To be able to give brides their dream wedding without the massive price tag is a dream come true and makes me strive for perfection for each and every couple that I work with! I never tell a couple how I think their day should look or what I think they should do with keeping up to date with current trends! I give my opinion & try to capture their vision of how they want their special day to be remembered!

📷 Totally get that Christina, and love that you are using your own wedding experience to keep it real for your clients. Tell me how can a couple decide if a supplier is the right fit for their wedding?

🎀 A one to one consultation for couples and the supplier is an absolute must! This is something I offer to clients free of charge to meet at their chosen venue! To get to know each other, talk about their vision of their day how they want everything to look and be honest about how realistic their vision can be and how hard I will work to make it a reality! I think it depends on personality if you are outgoing & want to work hard for clients this will come across and if you have what they are after it’s win-win!

📷 Having watched you in action at the wedding exhibition I can totally see how you do that for each client. If you had one piece of advice to give couples planning their wedding, what would it be?

🎀 Do your research for every supplier! This is something that I did. I shopped around compared prices to see what kind of vibe I got! Always make your own decision as it is your wedding day & no one else’s! Make sure you never feel pressured into paying for something or going ahead with something you don’t feel happy with! Your suppliers contribute a lot to the memories of your wedding build up & day so make sure you choose wisely for those who are more genuine & determined to make sure your day is perfect and not just money driven!
