Wedding Supplier
The wedding fair season is in full swing at the moment as happy couples check out venues, transport, catering and all manner of suppliers offering products and services to make the big day go with a bang!
I think a lot of people when they first start planning think they have to head into one of the big cities to find good suppliers but near where I live in Larbert are a whole host of fantastic local suppliers so I thought I would start featuring short interviews with them on a regular basis to get to know them. It’s important for local businesses to support and promote each other and first up I interviewed Fiona Wilson who runs Frox of Falkirk Bridal, a new venture for the well established and hugely popular Frox of Falkirk Mother of the Bride Boutique (featuring in a later article – watch this space!).
Fiona, what would you say is the most popular style or trend at the moment?
Ruffled style bridal gowns are huge this season and have had many brides-to-be looking particularly for this.
With that being said, the traditional elegance of lace and satin continue to be up there among the bride’s favourites.
If someone visits your bridal boutique, what can they expect?
When a bride comes to visit us she can expect the complete personal shopper experience. Our job is to ensure she feels special and finds “The One”, whilst also being honest and making her look and feel her best.
How can couples decide if a supplier is a right fit for them and their wedding?
Think of your budget and if you love the products and service you receive from the supplier.
You’ve been in the wedding business a long time Fiona, if you could offer brides one piece of advice what would it be?
Always have an open mind when you start shopping for your gown. many brides have one set idea of what they want to look like on their wedding day, but when they try on different styles they can find something completely different that is perfect!
