Studio Sessions & on Location at Crieff Hydro
Studio
Gradually things are getting back to normal at the JB Moments Photography studio and clients that I had to postpone during lockdown are gradually getting their postponed shoots 🙂
Mother’s Day Shoot!
I ran an offer for Mother’s Day. BFFs Jill and Kate decided to treat each other to a shoot with their cherubs. Post lockdown I was finally able to book them in for their delayed session (just a few months later!).
Jill is one half of the amazing Kuka Studios who not only designed and maintain my website for me but also created my beloved logo. I have been photographing their kids every year since we met. It’s great fun having the 3 of them in my studio and seeing them change each year.
I had to include the 2nd picture in their gallery as little miss Tabitha pulled such a grimace it made me laugh out loud when I was editing! These kiddos are used to me and my crazy requests. They nail their poses every time.
Kate had adorable blond-haired twin girls. Bella and Freya hadn’t met me before and were definitely a little bit warier of the strange lady in her mask!
That’s okay, we just made sure mum was in the shoot so they felt safe.
I also wanted to get the two besties in the frame for some pictures. For a bit of fun, I told them to look sexy and this is what they came up with…
Pre-Schooler Mini Session
Just like Bella and Freya, Miss Eilidh was very shy when she came to the studio. She didn’t want to let go of mum and dad and go anywhere near the set up I had for her.
Not a problem, have her hold mum and dads hands.
In fact, I got them to swing her in their hands and we even got a smile 🙂
In all my year’s experience shooting children, there is one thing that works 99.9% of the time.
BUBBLES!!
Soon she was leaping around chasing bubbles like a champ.
Crieff Hydro
As much as I love my wee studio I like getting out and about too. I was delighted when one of my 2018 wedding couples got in touch to see if I was up for a trip up to Crieff Hydro to capture the 80th birthday celebration of the groom’s mum. Heck yes!
Can you believe this gorgeous lady is 80?! Me neither. She must have a secret! Obviously having her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild and other family members all around her for the weekend was working wonders.
Even one of her sons 14-week old puppy got to join in as well!
I love this image of the birthday girl surrounded by all her grandchildren. She is obviously a beloved matriarch of the family.
Unfortunately, not everyone could be there so we improvised.
Now, these two ladies can feel like they joined in the celebrations.
Turned out I was a surprise for the birthday girl as she had been lamenting the fact that everyone would be there in their Sunday best and they should have got someone in to capture them. Ta-Dah!! It was a wonderful way to spend an hour full of love and laughter. I left and they were heading off to take over the hotel for a fancy meal and no doubt the celebrations carried on into the small hours.
