Elsie

I love it when my littlest clients come back to the studio so I can see how they are growing and progressing. I first met Miss Elsie when she was just two months old when she was the star of the show at her grandma’s family shoot.

What better way to celebrate your first birthday than a professional photoshoot!

Containing the excitement

I was very pleased with the little set I’d created in the studio for the birthday girl. A cute floral background and balloons that looked like they were helium balloon bunches (thank you balloon tape).

Whilst not quite walking yet, Miss Elsie could sure move quickly on her knees and was darting about all over the place.  She was so happy and bubbly it was a delight to watch. But not so great to photograph so cue the chair to contain her just a little bit!

Mum was delighted as she had a similar little wicker chair when she was a little girl. Look at that giggly face. It was infectious and we were all cracking up with her!

Almost standing

When littles can’t quite stand by themselves I love posing them holding their parent’s hands.

It also serves as a reminder to mum and dad when they look back at the images just how little she was.

More containment

Luckily I have a variety of stools and chairs in the studio so we tried Elsie out on another one, much to her excitement.

Bubbles

As if it wasn’t exciting enough we introduced some bubbles and oh my!

I don’t know about you but I wish I still got that excited on my birthday!

Joy

It was such a wonderful joy to meet Elsie again. She has grown into a bright and happy ray of sunshine. It would be impossible not to be cheerful in her presence. It was such a lovely shoot and once I delivered the gallery back mum said she was “tearing up” looking at the “beautiful images”. 🙂
