Studio Sessions – Penny, Evie & Harlow

Little girls with dreams become women with vision.

Girls Weekend

Last weekend the studio was deliciously overrun with girls. On Saturday I had the pleasure of Penny and Evie and on Sunday Harlow visited the studio. What made this even cooler is that I first met Penny and Harlow 2 years ago when I first started doing the annual photoshoots for Kincardine Toddler Group. I love getting to see my little clients grow up 🙂

Penny & Evie

The girl’s grandma had first booked this studio shoot pre lockdown. When her other daughter was going to be visiting from Australia with her grandson. A chance to get all her grandchildren together for a photo. Sadly it looks like the visit from down under is off for the foreseeable future so she decided to go ahead with her granddaughters in the meantime.

Shy girl

Penny was very shy when she first came into the studio. She wasn’t at all keen on getting her photo taken. That is why I always set the sessions for up to an hour in case a little needs to ‘warm-up’ first. After the promise of bubbles, a chicken that squeaks from its bottom and the lure of the lollipop tree she got into her groove.

Definitely not shy

By contrast little miss Evie, Penny’s 8-month-old sister had no such reservations!

She was at that gorgeous bubbly chubby age and was happy to sit and smile all day long! She had a  twinkle in her baby blues and you can just tell she is going to be blond-haired like her beautiful sister.

All the grandchildren (sort of)

I asked gran to send me a picture of her grandson Arran so I could include him in the session somehow.

I asked Penny to hold one of the wedding pictures I keep in the studio and added grans phone picture in afterwards. Hopefully, we will get them all in the same room for a picture in the not too distant future.

Almost at the end of the session, I took my favourite image of the two sisters.

I love it because they are both looking at the camera and engaged with one another. So cute 🙂

Harlow

On Sunday Miss Harlow returned to the studio after rocking her last photoshoot in December last year. This time she bought her full entourage with her. Hair and wardrobe (mum) and entertainer and chauffeur (dad)!

Getting down to business like a true pro, Harlow had three wardrobe changes to get through.

Look 1 – casual denim

First up she rocked some skinny jeans and a white flared top.

I can’t believe how grown up she looks in this image – working that head tilt for the camera!

Talking of cameras…

She even found time to turn the tables on me and become model turned photographer!

Look 2 – formal elegance

Next up was a more formal dress ensemble complete with metallic shoes.

Very demure, very elegant. The big smiles were curtsey of her very own entertainer (dad) doing goodness knows what behind me!

I think this would make a great winter party dress or dare I say Christmas party dress!

Look 3 – smart casual

Last up was a cute denim dress with pockets! (I know!).

Harlow powered through the three wardrobe and set changes like an absolute champ. Then it was off to get her reward…some chicken nuggets. Lucky girl!
