Things To Do In Auchterarder
There is no doubt you are going to have a great time getting your photos taken at my studio in Auchterarder.
Why not stick around after your shoot to explore the town of Auchterarder itself. With its independent shops, cafes serving delicious treats, and friendly atmosphere, it’s a lovely place to wander around and soak up the local charm.
Places To Eat
Cafe Kisa is popular with locals and visitors alike. It regularly gets booked up in advance so be sure to plan ahead and book your table.
Further down the High Street you will find Delvino. Also best to book in advance.
For takeaway goodies and sinfully good shakes head to The Auchter Larder
Or try the most awesome cakes and award winning pies from our local bakery, Sugar and Spice.
Or if a pub with a decent kids menu is more your thing, try the Glendevon Hotel.
Finally if you feel like treating yourselves to afternoon tea or a Michelin starred lunch, the world famous Gleneagles Hotel is only a few minutes drive away. You really are spoilt for choice here.
Parks & Playgrounds
Auchterader is blessed with an abundance of green spaces and lush scenery. Two particularly scenic parks are Linden Park and Auchterarder Public Park. With swings, slides, and plenty of space to run around. These parks are perfect for a picnic lunch and some fresh air. You can safely let little ones loose to burn up some energy before heading home!
For a more action packed trip, head to the Active Kids Adventure Park near Perth. This indoor and outdoor facility boasts go-karting, climbing walls, and soft play areas. Guaranteed tire-out fun for the kids.
History & Culture
Combine a bit of education with a touch of wonder at the Caithness Glass Visitor Centre in nearby Crieff. Witness the art of glassblowing demonstrations and browse the beautiful glassware on display. Be warned though, in the summer months you may have to share the space with coach loads of tourists.
Take a step back in time with a visit to the majestic Castle Campbell. Explore the grand rooms, learn about the castle’s fascinating history, and let your kids imagine themselves as medieval knights and princesses.
Get Active
Take a drive along the stunning Glen Devon Road, park up and enjoy a Woodland Walk. From a 30-minute stroll to a 5-hour hike, there is something for all abilities, including some buggy-friendly paths.
